Lekim Ibragimov has become a member of the International Art Exhibition "The Path to Peace" organized in honor of the 10th anniversary of the organization "Journey for Peace" (in the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization).
This large-scale exhibition was held inBeijingduring 24-30 April 2013 in the framework of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the "Journey for Peace". The participants were the artists from theUnited States, Belgium,Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan,Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan,Tajikistan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Bangladesh, and China.
The program of the International Art Exhibition included a number of activities, among which were visiting the National Museum of China,AcademyofArtand Design, Qi Baishi’s School, and participating meetings and workshops.
One day the participants of the exhibition went to the Great Chinese Wall - not only to see one of the wonders of the world, but also to capture it in the pictures. As planned, the next exhibition is going to be the exhibition of the works which were created by the artists from different countries on that April day in 2013 on the Great Chinese Wall.
It was mentioned that the organization "Journey for Peace" was established in the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2003. The fundamental principles of its activities are protecting the cultural heritage of mankind, promoting the peaceful development of the international community, sharing the benefits of culture and art of different nations.
Recently, the "Journey for Peace" has initiated the organization of large-scale art exhibitions in the framework of the summit of the SCO. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Cheng Guoping commented on this issue: “Within 10 years, the Organizing Committee of the "Journey for Peace" has overcome many difficulties and has got many glorious achievements. Its contribution to non-governmental diplomacy is outstanding.”
